I suggest you ...

Sort the library ignoring "A", "An", "The" etc.

So that "A Painted House" is sorted as "Painted House". You get the idea...

        Actually, I hate this kind of feature. I would rather have an author sort-by-last-name.

        And, for the international user, have an "internationalized" sorting scheme; I would guess that the preceding articles are ignored in sorted lists for most languages, but not necessarily all. You would need a way to specify what needs to be ignored and maybe under what conditions. For example, "Les Misérables" would be under "M" in French, most probably under "L" in English.

        Rather than ignoring it completely, articles should probably go to the end - so, "A Painted House" gets sorted as "Painted House, A".
